My name is Rebecca, but most of my friends call me Reb for short. I’m a Korean-American girl from LA wandering the world and getting lost in appreciation of unexpected situations.
After graduating from undergraduate in 2012 without any idea of what I want to do or who I want to be, I made the riskiest and most life-changing decision- I bought a one-way ticket abroad. Ever since then, I’ve lived in three different countries and visited over 20. I guess you can say that the travel bug bit me, and it’s helped me to realize my love for seeing, learning, and appreciating the world.
At the moment, I am living in a small city (and by small I’m talking about a different scale) in China. On the weekdays, I am teaching young college students a composition course, but on the weekend, I am exploring and trying to use my baby Chinese to figure out when to get off the train. This blog is my way of documenting some of my travels and to share my story and the stories of others. I hope you can join me on this journey as I share rants, tips, and funny travel memories.

I’m a night owl trying to be a morning person.
I’m a terrible cook, but an expert food taster.
I have a knack for directions, but still manage to get lost.
I love breakfast food, especially at midnight.
…and avocados, amirite?
My friends call me basic, but I swear it’s only temporary until I get this blog running.
Is it me or is this starting to sound like a dating profile?
